Mr. Akers currently serves as the High School Instructional Coach, Math Teacher, Technology Assistant, and Head Girls Golf Coach.  He is in his 25th year of teaching and all of those have been at South Hardin High School.

Mr. Akers graduated from Iowa Falls High School.  He attended Ellsworth Community College and then received both his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Northern Iowa.  Mr. Akers loves instructional leadership and working with teachers to create new ideas and strategies that will best suit the students.  

Mr. Akers enjoys playing golf, bowling, and is a diehard Panthers and Cubs fan.
