Mr. Bartels serves as a Social Studies teacher at South Hardin High School.  Mr. Bartels has taught for 8 years and is in his third year at South Hardin.  Mr. Bartels attended Hawkeye Community College and UNI while earning a degree in social studies education.  Mr. Bartels has been teaching driver education for 12 years.  

Mr. Bartels is the sponsor and dungeon master for the school's Dungeons and Dragons club.  He enjoys building relationships through the hilarious stories and wild adventures that come with the collaborative effort.  Mr. Bartels also teaches driver education and enjoys the experience of helping students learn a vital lifelong skill.
