Mrs. Gelder is a dedicated school counselor with twenty-two diverse years in education.  She is driven to help all students achieve academic success, explore career opportunities, and develop social/emotional skills in response to issues they face.

Splitting her time between the elementary building, serving students K-5 in Radcliffe, and the high school, serving 9-12 graders, in Eldora, Mrs. Gelder gets the opportunity to help students of all ages.  

Mrs. Gelder's previous teaching experiences include grades 6-8 in the subjects of Science, Language Arts, Study Skills, and Careers.  In higher education, she was an admission counselor for the Mortuary Science program at DMACC and supervised student teachers for Iowa State University.  

The University of Northern Iowa was where she earned her undergraduate degree followed by a master's degree from Iowa State University.  Mrs. Gelder is a member of the American School Counseling Association.
