Mr. Pfantz currently serves as the agriculture education instructor at South Hardin High School. He is also the co-advisor of the South Hardin FFA, along with Mrs. Berg. He has 18 years of teaching experience in the state of Iowa, 14 of which have been at South Hardin. He enjoys teaching all students about the importance of agriculture and enjoys all the community and business connections he has made during his tenure here.
Mr. Pfantz received his high school education at nearby West Marshall High School, where he graduated in 2002. He received his BS in Agriculture Education from Northwest Missouri State University in 2006 and MA in Collaborative Teaching and Learning from Graceland University in 2010. In his free time he enjoys spending time helping out at his parent’s greenhouse business, Dusty Hill Farm in State Center. Someday Mr. Pfantz would like to have a greenhouse at the school and be able to teach students the skills needed to raise plants, along with marketing and customer relations skills during annual plant sales.
