High School FCS classes are taught by Courtney Roll. She is originally from Radcliffe, IA and a South Hardin graduate. Recently, the Roll's moved back to the Roll family farm outside of Hubbard.
Following high school Mrs. Roll attended Iowa State University (Go Cyclones!) majoring in FCEDS (Family and consumer sciences education and studies). She graduated from ISU in December of 2012. Prior to graduating, she student taught within the IFA district and was offered a position within the Iowa Falls-Alden district. Her first year within the South Hardin district was the 2021-2022 school year.
In 2013, she went back to school online to complete Graceland Universities' Differentiated Education Master's program. In December of 2015, she completed their Master's Program.
As a professional, she's served on the Iowa FCCLA board of directors helping advocate and build our FCCLA programs throughout the state. Roll also has served as the Iowa FCS Educators (IFCSE) president and board member, helping to advocate and educate FCS teachers connecting resources and industry representatives.
Long story short, she is a long time Hardin county resident who has loved teaching FCS and advising FCCLA students within Hardin County.
Alongside teaching FCS and advising FCCLA students, Courtney Roll also serves as South Hardin's Student Leadership team sponsor and head football cheer coach.
