South Hardin Schools - Extreme Cold Guidelines for Late Starts and Cancellations

SHHS Families:

Superintendent Chris Fenster would like to remind everyone of the district’s expectations for late starts and cancellations during periods of extreme temperature and wind chill.  These are outlined below.  Thank you for your continued support of South Hardin Schools!

Temperature & Wind Chill
  • If the area reaches an "Extreme Cold Warning", the district will implement a late start.
  • If temperatures and conditions are not expected to improve throughout the day, Superintendent Fenster will determine whether a school cancellation is necessary.
